Filipīnu Rotary klubs saka paldies par Latvijā pavadīto laiku

Hello!

How are you? I hope everything is fine with all of you there in Latvia and Sweden. We arrived in our homeland last Saturday June 12, 2018. After our Rotary Friendship Exchange, we had a 4 days relaxation time in Amsterdam, we even had a side trip in Brussels and Brugge Belgium. Though we had a great time in Amsterdam, but our experienced in Latvia was more memorable and worth remembering.

The 12 of us were so lucky and fortunate to be given the opportunity to know more of your culture, personal life, Rotary life, your Humanitarian projects and most especially your great hospitality in welcoming us. Indeed, it was all worth it.

With all honesty, we never knew your country LATVIA, not until our District Governor brought us to your country. The group were amazed on how you protected and so proud of your culture, heritage, your independence, and how you treat your tourists (including us) with utmost care and sincerity. We were also happy that we were able to witness your Latvia Trade Fair, we bought souvenirs and tasted local delicacies.

I remembered a lot of things in your country, your weather were unpredictable, it’s still day even during at night, the time were you are always on time, the calmness of your voice every time you talk, and last but not the least your FOOD, I  never forget when you served us your famous PINK SOUP (Cold beetroot soup), though the taste was a bit unexplainable, but still we managed to eat almost all of it, hahahaha.!!

From the bottom of our hearts. THANK YOU so much for the warm accommodation and for treating us as part of your family, we will forever be grateful.

Extend my best regards to our fellow Rotarians in Latvia and Sweden, and most especially to our host Ludmila.

We miss you so much…  Till we meet again.

Yours in Rotary,

SANDI A. PRANZA
